2012 as ‘Visit Lumbini Year’.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday took the decision to this effect. The cabinet also formed a high-level committee headed by UCPN (Maoist) chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to oversee promotion and development of Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.
The committee comprises Forest Minister Wakil Musalman, Nepali Congress lawmaker Minendra Rijal and UML lawmaker Mangal Siddhi Manandhar. The committee read more ... |
